Outreach Program
Our staff provide initial assessment, information, advice, referrals and support in Cessnock and Dungog.
Cessnock
In partnership with the Samaritans Information and Neighbourhood Centre (SINC) we provide support to clients in the Cessnock Local Government Area.
Dungog
Carrie's Place also have an agreement with Hunter New England Health to deliver Outreach Services from Dungog Hospital.
Assertive Outreach
Carrie's Place staff attend SoupzOn weekly to provide initial assessment, information, advice referrals and support. SoupzOn provide meals to those in need several times per week from the Cessnock TAFE Rotunda – Darwin Street Cessnock. Follow-up is provided from the Samaritans Information and Neighbourhood Centre (SINC).
Funding has been received through the ClubGrants program to assist in the delivery of this program including items such as sleeping bags, tents, phones and food vouchers. Thank you to Cessnock Leagues Club, East Cessnock Bowling Club and Kurri Kurri Bowling Club, without this support Carrie’s Place would be unable to provide this much needed service.
