Carrie's Place Specialist Homelessness Services
Homeless Services at Carrie's Place include the Lower Hunter Specialist Homelessness Services, Staying Home Leaving Violence and Supported Temporary Accommodation programs.
The Specialist Homelessness Service has staff working to deliver services across the Maitland, Cessnock and Dungog Local Government Areas for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Lower Hunter Specialist Homelessness Services
These services provide support to people of all genders including children and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The primary goal of this program is support people to sustain an existing tenancy or secure safe and affordable housing.
Intake Team
The intake team manages all incoming referrals, providing information, advice and referral to other appropriate services as needed. Referrals that meet the criteria for case management from one of our programs, will be triaged on a needs basis and placed on a waitlist for allocation. The intake team will keep in touch with those on the waitlist until they can receive case management support.
